RESCUED

He was well hidden in the shadows, watching for an opportune moment to strike; a moment when his victim would pass by, unaware of his presence.
His cloak was dark, his eyes alert, and his adrenaline was pumping.  Yet, he waited patiently, ready to lure his victim into the darkened alley with his deceptive promises.  He didn't just want to deceive and humiliate.  He wanted to claim his victim's very soul.  There would be no compassion and no sympathy from him, for there was no love in his heart.
If this is not how you envision Satan, reconsider!  Satan is constantly roaming, waiting to deceive.  When the Lord asked Satan in Job 1:7, "Where have you come from?"  Satan replied, "From roaming throughout the earth, going to and forth on it."
The second part of this murderous story comes with a hero who rescues.  He is mysterious!  Who would have expected Him to come in the form of a poor, lowly servant, instead of a rich tycoon?  Here we find a power of love beyond all comprehension.  Here, we find a force, a power which we can choose to receive within ourselves; One who will live and guide from within.  Here we will find a hero who is no superman in uniform but a heavenly spiritual being; One who can rescue us from the darkness of despair and the evil one's desires.   When we are watchful, alert, and diligent in our prayers, Jesus intercedes.  Satan simply cannot derail God's redemptive plan.  Satan's power and forces of evil are overshadowed by God's greatness, His love, and the Cross of Jesus.
God reinforces his great power when He tells us in 1 John 4:4,  "You are from God little children, and have overcome them because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. "

....For more on this true story of the Holy Spirit who lives within, the Son of God who died on the cross, rose again, and intercedes for us, and the only true God who is omniscient and omnipresent, read the greatest book on earth, The Bible.
