We celebrate the expectation of the resurrection!
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> Jesus Arose!
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> Every day, but especially at Easter, I am reminded of how God took the sinless Christ and, in death, poured my sins into Him so I could have God’s goodness poured into me if only I believe.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> The King James version of 2 Corinthians 5:21 states it like this, “For He hath made Him to be sin for us (me), who knew no sin, that we (I) might be made the righteousness of God in Him.”
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> The Living Bible version puts in like this, “For God took the sinless Christ and poured into Him our (my) sins. Then, in exchange, He poured God’s goodness into us. (me)!”
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> When Jesus died on the cross, He took the sins of the world. When I believed, I received the Holy Spirit and by God’s grace I had God’s goodness poured into me.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> For this I celebrate and "Praise the Name of My Lord!"
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4711416057968384260.post-14173581665863308372024-03-28T05:45:00.000-07:002024-03-28T06:15:56.327-07:00Vitamin C <p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">Medical advice says Vitamin C is good, and I need more than a double dose to keep me going. Most of the Kings did evil in the sight of the Lord while only a few did what was right. I find that as "the world turns" people continue to repent history although we read and study about the consequences of our choices.
Following is my book review and summary on 2 Kings:

<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; These examples are found all throughout His earthly walk as well as when He was on the Cross.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">At the last supper, I imagine I was there with Judas. When Jesus fed Judas, He fed me. When Jesus washed Judas’s feet, He washed and cleaned mine, as well. Jesus had such love for me, He was willing to feed a deceiver. He allowed me a choice just as He was willing to forgive for the act of betrayal.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">At the last supper, I imagine I was also with Peter who said, “I will never deny you. Peter did and I have too. Yet, I was fed, my feet were washed, and I was forgiven just as Peter was loved and forgiven.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">When Jesus was arrested, I imagine I was there among the crowd when they mocked and spit upon Him. I was there when one of the criminals asked to be remembered. I was there when Jesus said, because you asked, “today you will be with me in paradise.” Jesus was talking to me. I imagine I was at the foot of the Cross when Jesus took His last breath just after He cried out in agony and pain, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Jesus was praying and interceding for me. In death, He was loving me.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">To say I love Jesus is easy, but loving Him and others the way Jesus loves is not so easy. To do so, I must follow in Jesus’s footprints – His example- and strive to love like Him.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4711416057968384260.post-36662079457547502442024-03-23T06:01:00.000-07:002024-03-23T06:01:34.685-07:00Display of Color <p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: left;">I enjoy adding hints of white and black to my decor, but I am so glad the world is not just black and white. margin: 0in;">Yesterday, when I came inside from working in the yard, my boots were dusty and muddy, so I pulled them off at the door before entering the house. As I sat and looked down at my feet, I found my socks to be dirty, as well. I yanked them off and desired to have my feet washed but was too tired. My back was hurting and my feet ached from push-mowing the lawn. I thought, “Who would wash my feet for me?”
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> This brought to mind when Jesus washed His disciples feet. Jesus and his disciples’ feet must have ached from all the walking they did in sandals across mountainous plains. Their feet would have been muddy and/ or dusty. As He and His disciples gathered around the table for their meal, Jesus took it upon Himself to wash His disciples’ feet. One of His disciples, Peter, was appalled and declared to his Master, “Never shall You wash my feet.” Jesus’ reply was, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> At that point, I knew who would and had washed my feet. In fact, Jesus washed all of me by His death upon the cross.
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4711416057968384260.post-18924258048113264572024-03-16T06:11:00.000-07:002024-03-16T06:11:53.077-07:00The Cost of a Bridge
A few days ago I talked about some great bridges that have been built. I also told about the bridge to Jesus which I most wanted to travel. But then again what if I wanted to build a bridge myself? What would be the cost? Could I actually build a bridge?

I found one of the answers in 1 Peter 3. "Be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate, and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so you may, inherit a blessing.
The cost is actually not that great and not that costly. I can and am able with the help of Jesus to build a bridge.
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4711416057968384260.post-7330518916570210002024-03-14T06:13:00.000-07:002024-03-14T06:13:17.281-07:00Questions and Answers
My Daily Hope devotional this morning stated, "There is no other book in the world like it! Some of which are:
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">The Golden Gate Bridge is a suspension one-mile-wide bridge connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">The Brookyn Bridge is a cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City which spans the East River between Manhattan and Brooklyn. It was the first bridge fixed across the East River.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">The Manhattan Bridge is a suspension bridge which crosses the East River in New York City. It connects Lower Manhattan at Canal Street with Downtown Brooklyn at the Flatbush Avenue Extension. It has a length of 6,855 feet.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">The Bridge to Nowhere is an abandoned bridge on a washed-away road in the San Gabriel Mountains that spans across the East Fork of the San Gabriel River. A trail uses several river fords to reach it. Expect an extended outdoor hike to reach this treasure.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">The above are just a few of the man-made famous bridges that could be described and discussed. However, there is another bridge of more importance. It is not man-made! It is the bridge on the highway to Jesus Christ. That is the one I want to travel. There is only one way to get there, and the path is mapped out in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in 0in 15pt;"><span style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue";">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman", serif;">
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4711416057968384260.post-58708370955410489842024-03-07T05:49:00.000-08:002024-03-07T05:49:17.756-08:00The "D" Words!<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">I do not like certain “d” words. They often start with darts from satan, because he wants to keep me down and in doubt. He wants to discourage me. He wants to delay my joy. He wants my life to be difficult. He wants me to be depressed. He wants to defeat me. He wants to dazzle me with things of this world. He wants to draw me to his ways. He wants to deceive and dupe me.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> Because I wear the shield of faith, I suppose I will always have satan’s darts thrown at me, but if I stay on guard and trust God, no matter what “d” words I confront, I have the promise of victory.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> Hallelujah! Praise my Lord!
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4711416057968384260.post-71630602660482370642024-03-06T04:55:00.000-08:002024-03-07T14:07:37.327-08:00The Hands of Jesus <p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">This morning I read about how Jesus stopped in his travel to make a clay ball of his spittle and applied to a blind man’s eyes who had been blind since birth. I could just see his hands as he performed this wonderful miracle.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> Then I imagined seeing the scars left from the nails as He allowed the soldiers to hammer them into His hands for me. My imagination then led me to see “me” in His scooped hands, because “He holds the whole wide world in His hands.” I saw His hands open as He gently set me down so I could dump all my worries and cares into them. I watched as He closed His hands so I wouldn’t see my worries anymore. Finally, I saw His hands as He reached out to take mine to lead me through my travel today, and I said, “Thank you, Lord.”
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4711416057968384260.post-61929537837253998062024-03-05T05:07:00.000-08:002024-03-05T05:07:09.393-08:00God's Armor<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">Why must I put on God’s armor today? I know I am not perfect and that I will be a pushover for Satan about something today. Yet, the armor of God brings me back to Him. His armor makes me want to repent and be forgiven. Should I slip, His armor protects me. By putting on the armor of God, I am assured that I will always be a child of God desiring to do what is right in His eyes.
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4711416057968384260.post-87227211874302755622024-03-04T12:20:00.000-08:002024-03-05T04:57:03.883-08:00Proverbs on Wisdom<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">Solomon said in Proverbs, chapter 1 that the first step to becoming wise is to trust and reverence the Lord. In chapter 2 he says, “For the Lord grants wisdom! His every word is a treasure of knowledge and understanding.” In chapter 3 he says, “Don’t be conceited, sure of your own wisdom. Instead, trust and reverence the Lord…” In chapter 4, he says, “Learn to be wise and develop good judgement and common sense! Cling to wisdom-she will protect you. Love her- she will guard you…The good man walks along in the every-brightening light of God’s favor…”
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> My desire is to love God, be wise, and gain wisdom. I enjoy peace and calm and wish it on others, as well. God knew when He created me, I would have to fight battles. I am referring to battles within over good and evil. But God did put within me a way to be victorious- a way to win.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> “The One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4. He loves me beyond measure. Before I even met my Friend, He decided to give up all His riches. He wanted to invest whatever He had to make my life better. He didn’t have a home; he had given it up. He actually traveled from place to place on foot. He became poor so I could become rich.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> When I complain, He listens.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> When I am in sorrow or sick, He comforts.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> When I am lost, He directs and leads.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;"> When I commit an offense, He forgives.
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">As I visualize my Friend, I see a man in rags, a poor man, reaching out to help the needy while teaching about how to achieve riches. I visualize a simple caretaker who loves me beyond measure. He loved me so much, He laid down His life and died for me. As my vision grows, I see my Friend with a crown of glory upon His head sitting with His Father. He has already prepared for me a mansion. He is always ready to forgive me, to love me and make me rich. He is ready to give me an eternal home with Him. He never fails me!
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
<p class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in;">
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4711416057968384260.post-5764256588572340742024-02-23T12:16:00.000-08:002024-02-24T11:25:37.050-08:00The Rapture
Scripture tells us “no one knows the day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father” when the Rapture of God’s children will take place. In Dr. David Jeremiah’s book, The Great Disappearance, he states that there “will be a resurrection command, ‘Come Forth’. It seems as though there was always a battle going on, and most of the Kings in that day did "evil in the sight of the Lord." We still have that today. In fact, when I read Romans 7 today, I was reminded that I also constantly have a battle going on within myself. I have to choose daily so that I do not "evil in the sight of the Lord."
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Choose
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">There’s a battle going on
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">which sets my daily tone.
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Will I be hopeful
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Or allow Satan to confuse?
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">I have to choose…
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">The war within
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Makes me want to sin.
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Will I be a slave?
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Will I cave?
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Will I submit to what I secretly crave?
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Will it be God’s way
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">and Satan I refuse?
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">I have to choose…
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Within there are two natures;
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Two desires!
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Two fires!
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Will I submit to temptation?
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Allow sinful flirtation?
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Or accept God’s dictation?
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Will I be prideful;
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Lustful;
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Sinful?
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">These things from Satan will abuse.
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">I simply have to choose…
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">Mary Crisp Jameson 2/14/2024
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">
<p align="center" class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: "Comic Sans MS"; margin: 0in; text-align: center;">“For in my inner being I delight in God’s law, but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me…Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord.. He asked her for a drink of water. During their discussion, the women received a "drink of living water" when Jesus explained how to live a full life. She was so excited, she left her water jar and went to tell others. I just realized that the story never tells us she drew water or that the water jar was still empty. She received her "living water" but did she ever offer Jesus the drink of water for which He asked?
I have to ask myself, "How often do I receive blessings and, in my excitement, forget to give Jesus the praise?"
Mary Crisp Jameson http://www.blogger.com/profile/05039504454521708257noreply@blogger.com0
