The Key

I have some keys I have no idea which lock they fit.  I just leave them in a drawer and forget about them until, finally, I decide to toss them in the trash.  Then, there are my important keys.  If I lose my car key or my house key, I will, frantically, search high and low until they are found.  Keys can be an important asset.  There is one key I absolutely cannot do without.  Being in possession of the right key makes all the difference in opening the door to truth and life.
I pray I am found, peacefully, searching for it daily.  I pray I never lose my grip on this key.  I pray I keep it close to my heart at all times.
"Take hold of my (the Father's) instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life."

"You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life..."

"And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”

"I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.
