Yesterday I wrote about Folklore and Sayings or Words of Wisdom. I would like to enhance on one of them today.
My mother always told me, “Can’t never could do anything.” This was to instill in me a desire to at least try in order to be successful. I couldn’t just sit on my hands and expect rewards.
When I relate the phrase to God’s desire, I realize how true this saying can be here too. It is so easy to say, “I can’t” to God, but when I say “Yes” to God, I can. I remember how Jonah said “No” to God. He ran. He didn't want to, but when he finally said “Yes”, he could and he did.
