Who I Am

The following is not, at all, what I started out to type about this morning; however, this is how it turned out. I can't say whether it was my fingers or my mind that did the talking.

Who I Am

I, at my best, am a creature with life that’s on-going

and hope I am maturely growing.

I’m wedged between mornings and nights,

experiencing new heights and God created sights.

I find myself working between starts and stops-

Pulling out selfish weeds

and establishing both fruitless and fruitful crops.

There is within my walk some ups and downs,

as I stroll these earthy grounds.

Along the way I endure highs and lows.

That’s just some of how my life goes.

My moods may change from day to day-

I may be upbeat or my day turning grey.

I may laugh or show signs of sorrow.

Yet, my staying power is that God does not change.

He’s the same today and tomorrow.

As you can see, I am not picture-perfect.

Sometimes I am Satan tricked,

but when I confess my sins

they’re placed at the foot of the cross for Jesus to evict.

This is me and who I am.

But I’m proud to say that I’ve been found by the Living Lamb.
