Waiting On God

When we become sick, really sick, we usually resort to going to a doctor.  How often and how long do we sit in the waiting room?  One of the most dreaded things in going to the doctor is the wait.  It can turn into hours, and I always get impatient and frustrated.  There have been a few times, I walked out and left thinking that "I can get better on my own."
Is that the way we are with God?  We expect Him to answer every prayer of hope and desire and within our time frame.  We just do not like or enjoy sitting in God's waiting room.  So, we strike out on our own determined to do it ourselves.  And, what a mess we can make!  We just become sicker and more unhappy.
     Waiting often means:
Meditating
Seeking Where God is
Drawing close
Changing Attitudes
Staying in the Work
Deepening Trust
Building Endurance
