I Believe

We all believe in something, and no matter how hard someone tries, there is no way to change your mind. I, too, have a belief, and no one can change my mind. I believe in the One true and righteous King of the Universe.

I Believe

Lord! I believe!

I believe You are the Son of God;

That You died for me.

I believe Your arms are open wide-

You are always by my side.

There is nothing more I must decide-

Only to believe!

I believe in Your grace

And the promise of my permanent resting place.

I believe You forgive me in my wrath,

You forgive my wayward deeds,

You forgive my unfruitful seeds.

I believe I am saved-

No longer lost,

And it was You who paid the cost.

Lord!

I believe every scripture verse;

You are the King of the Universe,

The Bread of Life,

The Light of the World,

The Beginning and the End.

Lord! I believe!

The Divine is Mine

Today, I just want to praise His name for He fills my heart.

The Divine Is Mine

Great is He!

The One who was sent for me.

Majestic is His name;

The One who came.

He is divine.

He is mine,

And I am His.

He was and He is-

My Savior on high,

Below and above the sky.

He is my King!

O, let me sing.

A song of His wonderful name,

For no other is the same.

He is divine.

He is mine.

I am His.

He was and He is!

“Praise the Lord. Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power; Praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with timbrel and dancing, praise Him with the strings and pipe, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord.”     Psalm 150 NIV

Fairy Tale? It's Not!

     Once upon a time there lived a powerful King.  He was in charge of everything that happened upon the earth.  No one who tried could defeat him.  This was a King who loved his people very, very much and would do anything they asked, yet he did demand obedience.
     As it happened, the King had only one son.  Although the King loved his son with all heart, he realized the people would never obey him, and they would die from their stubborn, selfish ways if his son did not go out among the people as one of them.
     So, one day the king sent his only son in disguise, without a kingly robe or crown, to live among the people.  The son did not even have a home to call his own.  The King's son was to teach the people about the powerful love the king had in his heart for them. The majority of the people did not like the King's son nor what he had to say.  They ridiculed him and what he taught.  They also ridiculed and even killed some of those who befriended the king's son.  Finally they beat and even killed the son.
     At the son's death, the King was saddened but, in a powerful display, raised his son from the dead and took his son back home.  Yet, the King, in his mighty love for his people, told them He would continue to protect them and even send a helper to live among them until he was ready to proclaim judgment.  The people were given many chances to choose their fate.  They could die or be saved.  All they had to do to be adopted as the king's children and not be destroyed was to repent and believe that the King loved them so much that he sent his only son into the world so they could be saved from disaster.  If they would do this one thing then they could come and live in his castle with Him forever.  Otherwise, in time, they would be judged and sent to the fires of hell.
     Many people believed but most didn't.  Those who believed lived joyful lives with excited hope in their future and the promises of the king.  They looked forward to living happily ever after.  Those who didn't remained confused and without hope in nothing but their present circumstances while waiting to be cast into the fiery furnace.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

A Christmas Puzzle

A Christmas Puzzle ...
     It's the first day and December.  Christmas will soon be here!   When I plan for Christmas I think of how my Christmas day is usually spent.  I am blessed to be surrounded by family with lots of time spend around the table attempting to put together a complicated puzzle.  We are always in high spirits when, at the end of the day, we can see the results of a completed puzzle scene.
     So today, I put together a simple story of a Christmas puzzle in anticipation of a joyous Christmas day in 2018.

             A Christmas Puzzle

Tis' a Christmas puzzle with a heartfelt struggle
  of how the Savior's mother had no cozy place for birth.
Yet, her child would shake the earth.
Who would have ever guessed, a baby, a King no less,
  would be born without the best?
A Christmas puzzle, for sure;
God's own Son would be born into a world impure?
A puzzle, indeed, but a gift guaranteed.
Here was a King,born in a simple stable,
  laid in an animal crib, not a warm and cuddly cradle.
The child, as the story goes, was wrapped in poor swaddling clothes.
He lay in the cold with only warmth from His mother's hold.
The night was quiet, and, this birth, many would want to deny it.
Yet, "A King is born!" the angels sang.
Their voices around the shepherds rang.
This puzzle unfolds when a star above shone bright,
  announcing the birth with such delight.
Oh yes! A Christmas puzzle of what was taking place;
A Savior was born to bring the gift of grace.
Twas' the twist of a lifetime;
A Father's love bestowing joy sublime,
  sending forth His Son to shake the earth with a lowly stable birth.
Who would have guessed, a baby, a King, God's own Son no less,
  would be born without the best?

The Cornerstone

     The Cornerstone

Behold! The Cornerstone-
My foundation and Him alone;
The strength beneath my wings,
The One I seek with what life brings.
  Let us talk, talk, talk of our mighty Lord,
  Walking in faith and prayer,
  While telling others-His cross to share.

How great is the bearer of burdens and woes-
Interceding as only He knows?
My hope in days ahead,
My peace from being lead.
  Let us trust, trust, trust the Master,
  Casting away our every fear,
  Knowing He listens- is always near.

The Cornerstone-
My foundation and Him alone;
  Let us love, love, love as Jesus;
  Caring for one another,
  Letting all become our sister and brother.

What favor and a lifting up?
Blessings over-runneth my cup.
  Let us praise, praise, praise our Lord!
  Glorifying His very name.
Today, tomorrow, He loves the same.
  Shine, shine, shine for His glory,
  Sharing, proclaiming the salvation story.

Behold! The Cornerstone-
A foundation, and Him alone;
A tried stone, a precious stone,
A King upon the heavenly throne.

Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
