God's Blueprint

I enjoy looking at house plans. I do not believe I have ever found one that I would not change. In fact, when I complete all my readjusting, the plan never looks the same; it is a complete new blueprint.

     I also have a tendency to look at myself and want to change things either in feature or in life. Although, God made me in feature just the way I am, He did give me choices in life to make. Once I have walked into my choice, it is impossible to change the past actions. Though I have many regrets, I am so glad God still loves and walks with me. His blueprint does not need to altered, and to build the right foundation, His instructions need to be followed step-by-step.

God’s Blueprint For Me

God planned me,

And what I would be.

He had no need to form and reform,

Mold and remold.

It’s me who questions His design-

Living to whine and pine.

Who am I to doubt God’s product of what I am?

I’m just what I yam.

God had no need to change a thing,

Within His creative plan.

It’s me who struggles within my walk-

Tending to rebel and balk.

God gave me form, shape, and frame.

Though I sin, I am saved and His, all-the-same.

He breathed breath into every living cell

And gave me a story to tell.

God planned, for me, a purpose from the first,

And it was, for Him, I am to thirst.

I was structured to rely on Him-

To follow His plan-

To walk with Him, hand-in-hand.

Who better to trust

Than the One who is ever just-

Than the One who formed me from the dust!

Where Would I Be

I just had a birthday which gave me pause to think about where I would be if God had not thought about me, created me, led me, saved me, and guided me though the years.

Where

Where would I be

If

Not in God’s thoughts?

I’d be distraught;

I’d be unborn, uncreated-That is where.

Instead, He molded a hunk of clay to make me an heir.

Where would I be

If

Not in God’s plan?

I’d be an empty man;

Wandering and lost-That is where.

So, I offer up a heartfelt prayer.

Where? Oh, where would I be

If

Jesus had not come to set me free?

If

God did not think about me day and night?

I’d be lost in the darkness of my plight.

I’d be fearful I was not within His sight.

Where would I be

If

God is not always near;

Beside me, the way to steer?

Where would I be

If

God was too busy; Too preoccupied

To walk by my side?

Where? Oh, where would I be

If

God turned away?

If

God didn’t stay?

If

He let me go astray?

If

I failed to pray?

Where would I be?

The Old Self to the New

I suppose I will never completely get my act cleaned up, but I can try. My old self pops up from time to time but God is such a forgiving God. He understands and gave me the example of The Lord's Prayer; whereby I can ask His forgiving every day. "Father forgive my debts as I also forgive my debtors."

My Plan

Heaven is perfect and I am not!

Jesus was sinless and I am not!

But I am taught and bought

With a price

And promised paradise.

For that reason, I have a desire to be more God-aligned

And not remaining blind.

I need to change from the inside not the out;

Against the world, stand tall and stout.

It can’t be done by a nail manicure,

That is for sure.

It can’t be done by buying a brand-new hat

Or in a room full of idle chitchat.

It can’t be done by changing the color of my hair

But only through prayer.

I need to change my heart

As a start.

I need to change the direction of my thoughts,

Or it will be all for naught.

I need to change my values or what I most desire

in order toward God, to have my heart set on fire.

Within my heart I need a cleansing from the sins that bind

To become more God-aligned.

I need to love, not just some but everyone,

But I’m not done.

I need to make a decision

To change my vision,

Change my speech,

Change my outreach.

Love is my long-range plan-

Love for Jesus and for man.

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:22-24

Day's Project Instructions

 My husband is a planner by nature. I am, instead, one who says, "Let's just do it." I often jump in without a plan which can, of course lead to disaster. I decided this morning, I needed to form a plan for my day and came up with the following instructions:

Get Approved:

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

Look at the blueprints:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,“ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29”11

Study it:

I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens.” Ecclesiastes1:13a

Pray about it: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Consider the Nails:

“Having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; He has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” Colossians 2:14

Look for guidance;

Woe to him who says to wood, ‘Come to life!’ Or to lifeless stone, ‘Wake up!’ Can it give guidance? It is covered with gold and silver; there is no breath in it.” Habakkuk 2:19

Heed the Partner:

 “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." John 14:26

Over Life's Span

There has been mo much that has happened over my lifetime.  There have been changes in plans, thoughts, desires, and so much more. There have been wrongs and rights, bad turns and good ones, but through it all, I know God has always had a plan.

Life’s Span

Over a lifetime-

I do or I don’t;

I reject or I want.

Over a lifetime

I consider and evaluate-

I move or I wait.

I hold on or let go;

I stay immature or I grow.

Over a lifetime

There is no instant fix-

There’s Satan’s tricks

Or God’s stirring mix.

There’s staying put or moving on-

Decisions setting the tone;

Inaction or motion-

Consideration within the notion.

Over a lifetime

And my worldly span

God has a plan.
