Height and Depth

 

It surpasses my comprehension of

how deep and wide, 

wide and deep -

is God’s love for me

I cannot grasp 

the breadth and length,

 height and depth -

of His love for me.

Yet, I know I am rooted and grounded, 

grounded and rooted - 

In God’s great love.

You see

I am written,

 graven,

inscribed,

imprinted, 

tattooed,

engraved

marked

on the palm of my Lord’s hand.

It happened 

when the nails pierced His palms,

when I believed.

when I accepted.

You see

 I am made whole -

A child of Christ!
