All Is His!

 I usually wake before it gets light outside especially since the time change, and I have not enjoyed my 1st cup of coffee outside lately until yesterday.  The temperature was finally just right, the pollen was out of the air, and Spring was in the air, so I enjoyed quiet time on the patio.  The early morning, spring sounds  bring relaxation and a closeness to God as I acknowledge that He created it all.  He owns it all!

All Is His

I look at the flowers in bloom,

Decked in radiant costume,

And I see the beauty of God.

Roaming around streams and brooks

In awe of their shimmery looks,

I find His peace.

I watch the clouds floating by,

Up so high,

And know by whom they were created.

God walks with me

 And, wonders, He helps me see.

I listen to the birds twit their song,

As they fly along,

And I hear the sound of God’s voice;

It makes me rejoice.

I hear the wind;

Feel it upon my skin.

It was sent by God.

I feel the breeze

And, with God, I feel at ease.

With His gently touch,

He gives so much;

Like the gentle raindrops,

A Godly kiss upon my cheek, before it stops.

God has created it all!

Between He and I, He built no wall.

He is always within my reach and call.

Comparison

      We all do it from time to time. But we shouldn't.  Why do we fall to that level?  It has to do with fleshy desires. Comparing this, comparing that! What we have, what we don't have, how we look, how we wish to look, desiring to be like someone else-what size we are, what color our hair is, and on and on. Yet God created each person to His own liking.  He, the only true Artist and Creator, molded each one of us into the image He wanted us to be and He gave each one their own uniqueness.
     The following is my little reminder to self that I don't have to be a beauty queen, thin or trim, a voice in the crowd, or perform an action just to please.  I only need to be just me.

No Need to Compare

I have no need to compare.

I have what I have.

I am who I am;

Being God’s own created lamb.

There’s no purpose looking at other’s worth-

Just my own,

Which God placed upon this earth;

No reason for envy or jealously,

Being given my own molded melody.

Comparing would be foolish and silly

Can size, color, wealth be changed, willy-nilly?

Not really!

My own creative skills

Were knit within to fill God’s bill

With no beautiful frills;

Just a purpose to fill His will.

Comparing would leave me in despair,

Complaining, “Life’s not fair!”

 I’d be missing blessings;

My own special dressing;

Delaying gifts

Meant to carry through seasons shifts.

God counted every hair;

Where I am, He is there.

I have no need to compare,

I am who I am,

And God stays near,

Always here to care.

Remember Him

   How many times during the day do we really remember God? How often during the day do we take the time to talk with Him?  How often during the day do we really direct our attention toward God?

   Remember Him

Remember Him before the dawn;
  before the light of sun,
  in the moments before they're gone.
Remember Him before the chirping of flighty birds;
  before the sounds of stirring;
  before the framing of unforgiving words.
Remember Him before noon-day's ray;
  before the heat of blazing sun;
  throughout the chores of day.
Remember Him before heaven's stars twinkle bright;
  before the moon brightens the dark;
  whereby, seeking strength through restful night.
Remember Him before the grave;
  before the life turns to dust and ash;
  ever seeking the love Christ gave,
  the mortal soul to save.

I Believe!

     As the year comes to a close, I want to acknowledge God for who He is and for all He has done for me in 2017.  He has given me love, blessings, guidance, protection, and forgiveness.  I believe He is the Creator or all and Jesus is the Savior of the world.

I Believe!

I believe! I believe!
For all it's worth,
I believe in Jesus;
in the holy baby's birth.
I believe! I believe!
By faith,
I believe in the written Word;
all it saith.
I believe! I believe!
Whereby, He became the sacrificial lamb,
I believe in everlasting life;
in the great "I Am."
I believe! O yes, I believe.
