Abortion

     My heart weighs heavy for the unborn child.  I have never been raped or left as a single, pregnant woman and been faced with decisions to make regarding an unborn child, but I do know there are families throughout America who would love to adopt a child.  What is being talked about regarding abortions today, right up to birth, is simple murder.  These babies were created by God, and they need a chance at life.  Psalm 127:3  "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord; and the fruit of the womb is His reward."
     In honor of the unborn child, I put together the following:

                     Abortion
In the beginning, you knew me Lord;
How I was yet unborn, even though you knew I would not live to face the morn.
You, oh Lord, designed me special as your very own vessel;
Every eyelash, every finger, every toe, every vein in which my blood would flow.
You designed me in every way, though you knew I would not live to face the day.
I never lived to play, or to fulfill your holy plan, for my life was taken through wickedness of man.
In silence, I screamed in my plight; was bloodied in my innocent fight.
From my own momma's womb, I was defenseless against my doom within the walls of an abortion room.
I struggled and sought to cry, wondering, "Why?"
My own mother's womb would mark my doom.
Where I had felt warm and protected, pain seared through my tiny person, and my condition began to worsen.
I was ripped from the womb, limb by tiny fragile limb;
Never to see the light as all went dim;
Never to breathe or teethe;
Never to cry or blink an eye;
Never to play or pray;
Never to be loved, to love, or stare at the stars above;
Never to fail, succeed, or live for a story to tell.
Through wickedness of man, I never will or never can.
My life was taken before it began.
But you, oh Lord, knew me before I was born; and I will awaken to you in the morn.

What Does The Bible Say? Part 2

More on issues at hand...
     I am not a doctor and do not know the specifics of how or when a life begins.  But I believe life starts in the womb, and it is a gift of God, not to be taken lightly or aborted at will.  The baby in the womb is a child; an actual breathing, feeling, human-being created by God.
     So, "What does the Bible say?" Following are among a few:

Psalm 127:3 "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."
Psalm 139:14-16  "I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.  My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.  Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."
Psalm 127:3 "Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord and the fruit of the womb is His reward."
Isaiah 44:24 "Thus saith the Lord, thy redeemer, and He that formed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself."
Isaiah 49:15 "Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of he womb?  yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee."
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations."
Matthew 5:21  Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment."
Deuteronomy 24:16 "The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin."
Exodus 21:22 "if men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine."
Matthew 19:14  "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for such is the kingdom of heaven."
Luke 1:44 "For lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy."
     There are so many more verses to be researched and found in order to made sound decisions on moral issues.  Let us not forget Matthew 7:12 "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."
     So, WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

Abortion

There's a lot going on in our world today.  Division on issues is here and always has been.  Minds are closed to what is good for our country and its prosperity.  One of the worst divisions I see today is the idea of abortion.  I believe that a child in the womb is a living, breathing precious soul.  And, I must say,  I would be hard pressed to elect any official to represent our great nation who advocates abortion.  If we, the citizens, would drop to our knees in prayer and consider what the Word of God says I believe we would be humbled and once again be blessed.  America could be great again.

2 Chronicles  "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sins and will heal their land. "

But let me get back to the abortion issue.  Children are literally a "gift from God."  In Jeremiah 1:5  God said, "Before I formed you in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet to the nations."   Every child is created by God and created for a purpose.  When an innocent child is killed by abortion, God's creation and His purpose for that child is destroyed.  I am positive, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God is not pleased.

Now take a look at Mark 9:36-37, "And He took the child, and set him in the midst of them: and when He had taken Him in His arms, he said unto them.  Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but Him that sent me.

To put aside our own selfish desires, accept responsibility for a child whom our acts help to create,  and to embrace that child finds us also embracing Christ.

Based on God's Word, I would not be able to vote for an abortion advocate, would you?   If in doubt,  visit an abortion center and ask to actually see how that precious child is ripped out of the womb limb by precious limb with it head crushed and its brains spilling forth.
