Gold Dust

There were several things I was not content with when I was growing up. One was my freckles. I remember Dad telling me he thought they were cute. I didn’t! What I like to think now is they are probably a sprinkling of gold dust from God.

Currently, I am not crazy about my gray hair, and unlike my freckles, I can hide it. However, God tells me, “The silver-haired head is a crown of glory.”

Today, I realize that having freckles, gray hair, or even wrinkles does not matter. What matters is that, “The Lord is my Shepherd. I shall not want…Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
